I have indeed played many parts and I often find myself writing a book as the culmination of different phases of my life. I believe that words and ideas outlive the people who conceive them, giving them a sense of immortality; perhaps this is why I write, perhaps not. More than anything else I enjoy the feedback of my readers; their appreciation and criticism of my work have played an important role in shaping my career as a writer. My words are an extension of myself and those who read them do me a great honour.
