The election in AJK is scheduled to be held on July 21, 2016. The event stands far more significant than it ever was, because for the first time the three major political parties of Pakistan shall directly go to the people of AJK against each other. Will the priorities of Pakistani politics over shadow peculiar needs of AJK politics? Or the two will stand side by side? And how would it impact the Kashmir cause and its relevance to people of Pakistan and Kashmir vis-à-vis their domestic issues?
