I was the trainer and this training on Community “Based Disaster Risk Management” (CBDRM) was organized by “Conciliation Resources UK” & “Friend in Need Pakistan” in Rawalakot. 28 participants (from private as well as public sector) including disaster management practitioners, academicians, social activists etc attended the training. Some of the key stakeholders like Secretary to the Government of AJK for Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation and Director Student Affairs University of Poonch also attended the training for a complete round of three days. The feedback form and assessment test predominantly reflect that the training was well above the expectations. The event was concluded in presence of Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Member Legislative Assembly from the area. Mr Khalid promised to take the final recommendations to the Legislative Assembly of AJK for legislation’s on implementation of seismic building code and incorporation of Disaster Management in curriculum of schoo
